Over the years cases of racial as well as sex discrimination have increased. Ironically this is happening when people are becoming more aware and learned on issues related to discrimination. All over the world new legislations are being passed in to law that seek to protect not only the girl child but also women and racial minorities. The reason why this should be so, is hard to determine due to stereotyping. As a result many scholars have tried to study issues of sexual discrimination so that they can shed more light on this growing vice.
This article tries to reflect on issues of sex discrimination. The author a professor of law tries to understand the reasons why women are more likely to be discriminated against more commonly than other groups like gays and racial minorities. In so doing the author tries to explore the issues of covering and reverse-covering as is demanded by our stereotypical societies.
