On another platform Japan emulated Germany based on Friedrich List Philosophy of developing industrial power and consolidating nations. Before World War II began, Japan had cut off European traders. In response, U.S imposed Oil embargo to Japan.
Alignment of Britain and U.S in World War I was to defeat Germany, in World War II it formed alliance with Britain and later Soviet Union to yet again defeat Germany, and almost defeated Japan alone. Later United States allied with former Axis powers to defeat emergence of a Capital center in the East, suppression of breaks from economic freedom by colonial nations, and defeating the Soviet Union. The U.S, since then, picked up several batons to protect and restore democratic rule across the globe.
