Considering that poor communication limits the firm’s success, it is essential to highlight the root causes of poor communication in the workplace. Some of the causes of poor communication in the workplace are;

Communication omission is caused by a lack of consciousness, clarity, and completion, commonly referred to as the 3C’s. According to (Duysters, and Sadowski 2006), considering that the team leaders or the managers have a lot of information that they are supposed to disseminate to the other team members or employees, they sometimes unconsciously forget to give the information to the correct persons.
Communication omission also occurs when the manager does not find it important to pass some information to the subordinates, for not finding the information vital. When certain information is not wholly disseminated or not clearly passed to the correct audience, it results in communication omissions.
